Description

Linseed Oil Supplier & Exporter in India

Linseed Oil is the original drying oil, and it dries in a way that is genuinely unusual – not by evaporating, but by absorbing oxygen and polymerising into a solid film. That is what has kept it in oil paints, varnishes, putty and wood finishes for centuries, and what makes it the base for alkyd resins and linoleum.

Rexus Pharma Chem LLP supplies and exports Linseed Oil in bulk to paint and varnish manufacturers, alkyd resin producers, putty and wood finish companies, printing ink makers and construction chemical suppliers across India, Africa and the Gulf. Minimum order quantity is 500 kg.

Storage and Handling

Store in closed containers in a cool, dry place away from heat, sunlight and oxidising agents. Rags, waste and absorbent material soaked in linseed oil can self-heat and ignite spontaneously as the oil oxidises, so they must be spread flat to dry or stored under water in a closed metal container, never bundled or left in a heap.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between raw and boiled Linseed Oil?

Raw oil dries slowly, often over days. Boiled linseed oil is treated or contains driers so it cures much faster, which is why it is the usual choice for wood finishing and paint. Both are available.

Why are linseed oil rags a fire risk?

The oil generates heat as it oxidises. Bundled rags trap that heat, and the temperature can rise until they ignite without any external flame. Always spread them flat to dry or submerge them in water in a closed metal container.

Is Linseed Oil the same as Flaxseed Oil?

They come from the same plant. Food-grade flaxseed oil is cold pressed for consumption; industrial linseed oil is processed for coating and finishing use and is not a food product.

What is the minimum order quantity?

The minimum order quantity is 500 kg.

Do you supply COA and MSDS?

Yes, with every consignment.
