Storage and Handling
Aniline is toxic by inhalation, ingestion and skin absorption, and causes methaemoglobinaemia. Store in tightly closed containers in a cool, dark, well-ventilated area away from heat, light, acids and oxidising agents. It darkens on exposure to air and light. Handle only with full chemical-resistant PPE under adequate ventilation by trained personnel, and read the MSDS supplied with the consignment before handling.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does Aniline Oil darken in the drum?
Aniline oxidises on contact with air and light, forming coloured products. Some darkening is normal and does not by itself indicate the material is out of specification; sealed, dark storage slows it considerably.
What is the largest use of Aniline?
MDI production for polyurethane foam takes the bulk of world output, followed by rubber processing chemicals and dyes.
What safety precautions are needed?
Aniline is absorbed readily through skin and causes methaemoglobinaemia. It requires full PPE, good ventilation, trained handlers and strict avoidance of skin contact.
What is the minimum order quantity?
The minimum order quantity is 500 kg.
Do you supply COA and MSDS?
Yes, with every consignment.
